Prospect Description: Prospect Location Map: Area Well Log:
Colorado, Morgan County, Canal Field, NE/SW Section 33, Township 4 North, Range 59 West
Primary objective is the upper sandstone lens in the Cretaceous “J” (Muddy) Sandstone which is a strong natural gas producing interval in adjacent gas wells. The Cretaceous “D” Sandstone is the secondary target. Both of these sands are within approximately 150 vertical feet of each other.
The estimated total depth of the proposed well is 6,200 ft. or a penetration of 75 feet below the top of the “J’ Sandstone.
The “J” Sandstone is a known gas producing sandstone with historical production 3/4 mile down dip to the northwest which produced 1,059,126 MCFG. The “D” Sandstone is also a know gas producing sandstone with historical production 1/2 mile up dip to the southeast which produced 4,622,791 MCFG. The prospective well location shows a slight structural roll with its axis parallel to the west-northwest dipping basin. This structural anomaly has created a favorable hydrocarbon trap for both the “J” and “D” Sandstones.
